  As you have made reference to, there are specific needs in terms of tire recycling since we have been automobile dependent this past century. I would be aware of other environmental disasters, such as the construction of artificial coral reefs in the ocean using only tires. Look at this link, you can maybe be wary of the importance of modeling and planning your venture with recycled good with great care.
  
  Other than that, good luck with your venture. you resources and inputs should be relatively cheap do to low demand for useless tires, so that will give you a competitive advantage. Good luck with your venture.

  This might sound **** but try Walt Disney World. They like to do things on the cutting edge of technology and also things that are good for the environment. Who knows the vast uses that they could find for your product. Tire companies might give you grants as well just because you are finding ways that their products will no longer lead to environmentally harmful waste.

  As far as finding grants from the government goes, I am not sure if you will have much luck with that. They typically don't give out grant money for the development of materials unless it is something that they are planning on using a lot of. Which means if you can convince them to use your product on federal or national projects, then you might have an in on possible grants.

  Sounds like a really great thing that you company is doing. As far as grants go, they are all different. I would try checking out www.grant.gov. However, I would suggest before you go looking around on a site that large that you try your local state government and see what ways they have to facilatiate different grants and other financing oppertunities

  I'm not exactly sure where you are located but the state of Pennslyvania does have a few opportunities for getting and earning grant opportunities. Along there are certain qualifications and requirements as well as cut off dates for when all information has to been presented in order to get the grant.
  
  However, with what the practical applications of what you are using the tire samples for and ifyou can prove the amount of CO2 gas emissions that are harming the environment and how much you are helping the process, I have no doubt you will get the grant that you need for your company.

  Your idea is off to a great start. My best advice to you is to find a target market where you will excel immediately. There are beach areas on the Atlantic and Gulf coast that deal with high waters, and danger from hurricanes. They can definately use your product to integrate the tires into the dunes. This will do a **** of a lot of a better job then the dunes current set up (Pretty much a wicket fence with sand around it).
  
  Try to get in contact with the US Coast Guard and see if there is immediate help needed in any of those areas of immediate danger with the upcoming Summer of hurricanes, that in the grand scheme of things, is right around the corner.

  We recently built a demonstration “house”/cabin that we documented on the Publication page of our website an can be found at: “Tire Log TM ” may be used for Housing and Earthquake Survivability. We haven’t yet determined the R-value of the logs and that is another study that we would like to conduct. The primary purpose of building the house was to demonstrate another of the many practical applications that the Tire Log™ may be used for.

  What I really like about this product is that it not only recycles tires which we have a lot of, but it also has many very practical uses. I would say to start by focusing on the few things that it is best used for and try to get it into industries that focus on those uses.

  Additionally, one question I had is are there any other avenues you have been trying in order to receive more income for what you are trying to do. There are alot of different ways locally to market what you are trying to do to the general public. This could include: informational meetings, public demonstration, participation in local community events, sponsoring different local community events, etc.
  Since what you are trying to do sticks out as such a grassroots movement b/c of its environmental origins it may not be such a bad idea to start locally and branch outward.

  It is a lsit of different tire recycling plants as well as alternative recycling tire business from all over the country. There are definitely some more people out there like yourself who are really looking for a change to happen with the way tires are processed and destroyed.

  One other though wou…moreld be to get tire company support and advertising that they depose of their tires with tire logs. This could bring some press attention your way.
